Facebook has rolled out a new video-calling feature: messenger room now allows 50 persons, WhatsApp video 8 users

Facebook launches an out new video-calling features, including Messenger Rooms, which allows users to host video calls of up to 50 people, you can now join If your friends or communities create rooms that are open to you, you will be notified. So you can find things to do and people to hang out with. When you’re invited to a room, you can join from your devices, no need to download anything to get started.

Facebook has also expanded WhatsApp’s video call from four people to eight people. Also, the company is introducing a video calling feature to Facebook Dating so users of that service can go on virtual dates.

The news release reads:

Messenger Rooms make it easy to spend quality time with friends, loved ones, and people who share your interests. Create a room right from Messenger or Facebook, and invite anyone to join your video call, even if they don’t have a Facebook account. Rooms will soon hold up to 50 people with no time limit.

Facebook CEO, Mark, said in his  announcement that the ability to connect over live video has “emerged as especially important during this pandemic.” He said, “there are even more social uses of this, just for people to stay connected.”
