New digital graduands emerge from Digprom Academy
Digital and creative agency Digprom has ushered in another set of persons to the digital world through its learn digital project.
Digprom continued with their learn digital program which was launched in August 2019 and has successfully impacted over 30 persons in the area of digital skills for business as they graduated a total of 16 students in the third cohort.
In line with the increasing technological demands of Africa and the world at large and the need for self-sufficiency in the quest for survival in this present generation, digital marketing is starting to become the “Big thing” and is seemingly here to stay. Little wonder why people refer to digital as the new oil.
The digital world is finally gaining ground all over the world and Africa is not being left behind. This is because people have embraced the internet and other digital channels in their day to day activities.
The number of internet users as at 2018 is 4.021 billion and increases by 7 percent annually according to wearesocial.com.
This is a massive figure and creates an abundance of opportunities for smart businesspeople.
Digprom is driven by the goal of helping people and business organizations leverage on digital opportunities to improve their businesses.
16 persons in total graduated in the cohort C as Digprom celebrated its graduands on Thursday 24th of October, 2019.
“At digprom, we do not only train people to become pace setters in the digital world, but rather, we train them to become the pace that everyone is trying to set in the digital world” were the words of Mr Ishola Kayode (CEO of Digprom) as he expressed delight about the success of the training and encouraged the graduands to remain focused and creative in their quest to make their mark in the digital world.
Also in attendance at the occasion was Mrs. Yinka Yahaya, Founder of Tamirah digital (An online platform that helps SMEs create unique digital marketing strategies to improve their businesses) and Tamirah Fabric (an online store that promotes positively the acceptance of African prints).
A big fan of the youth maximizing the use of digital marketing, the University of Ilorin Alumni was quoted as saying “you need to add a face to your brand” as she spoke about branding and online reputation management.
The graduands expressed their delights and their plans to implement the digital strategies learned in their careers and businesses.
